There is a famous story about the Chassidic Rebbe called the Shpoler Zeide, the Grandfather of Shpola.  In order to save the Jewish people in Ukraine from a devastating famine he started a trial with G-d, which was highly unusual, of course. And he won. You can read about that in this article: https://jewishart.org/portraits-of-the-shpoler-zeida-conducting-his-trial/

I made whole series of portraits of this Chassidic Rebbe. This one here measure 18 X 24 inches, oil on canvas, and is unframed. It will be shipped from Berlin, please inquire for the shipping costs.
