Reva Kent Mattson

Reva Kent Mattson was born and raised in New York and began drawing and painting as far back as she can remember. Upon graduating from Art School in New York Reva moved to California where she raised her family and managed a successful career as an Art Director.

Reva has exhibited her oil paintings in Galleries, Temples and Group Art Shows in San Francisco and Marin County over the last 15 years, has won Merit Awards for her figurative oils, and is best known for her expressive and insightful portrait oil studies.

Reva’s exhibitions of figurative portraits have been the source of her commission work. The inspiration for many of Reva’s paintings come from her memories and photographs of her life growing up in New York, and her travels to Mexico in more recent years.

A vividly painted palette and bold generous strokes, combine with the vitality of her own personal connection to the subject matter. “I try to create paintings that reflect the influence of my own inspiration, bringing a colorful and off kilter perspective and excitement to the canvas”.

Please visit my http://www.revamattson.com/ website which features oil paintings that are inspired by my travels to the colorful and magical cities of Guanahato and San Miguel De Allende, Mexico.
