Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art
July 7 – September 17, 2017
The American Guild of Judaic Art is proud to announce that we have partnered with the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art for a group art exhibition in 2017. This exhibit will feature AGJA artists who have created works that touch on traditions and are inspired to fulfill the commandment of Hiddur Mitzvah by creating, collecting, and exhibiting Jewish Art.
The mission of the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art in Tulsa, OK is to educated about the Jewish experience in Oklahoma, the United States, and the world. Through exhibitions and educational programs focusing on Jewish culture, history, religion, and art, the museum works to deepen understanding of the Jewish people, their faith and their history.
The group art exhibition is open to all members of the American Guild of Judaic Art in good standing. There will be no theme for the show as artists are given the platform to showcase the best of their work without limitations. All media will be accepted and artists can submit 3 pieces for jurying. There is no entry fee. Any artwork that is sold during exhibition will be processed with a 20% commission donated to the museum. Entry details and forms are here or you can contact email@example.com. This is an exciting opportunity for our members to gain greater visibility of their art in a renowned institution. There will also be an opportunity for educational programming with the exhibition.
Please direct any questions to Jim Cohen at firstname.lastname@example.org and a big thank you to Jim Cohen for coordinating this with the Museum and to Donna Matles for originating the idea.
