These gicée prints are my interpretations, using hand-drawn lettering and color and texture applied on the computer, of some of my favorite Hebrew sacred texts. These pieces developed because I chant Torah frequently and noticed that each scroll has a slightly different personality based on the handwriting of its scribe. I looked forward to seeing the shapes and rhythms of those words each week, and tried to imagine what other texts, and their music, would look like. The resulting art is not meant to be read literally, but rather is a visual version of my experience of the text.
