Artist Statement

Flora Rosefsky creates Judaic–inspired mixed-media collages, designs for community quilts, and coordinates the fabrication of synagogue torah covers, tallit, tallit bags, Sukkot banners and other items celebrating Jewish events. Her illustrations are licensed for greeting cards and national publications. Whether it’s an appliqué quilt, stained-glass window, ketubah, or paper cutout, Rosefsky combines fluid movements of line with an intuitive sense of color and composition. Rosefsky also leads workshops and artist residencies for all age groups and families in schools, synagogues, JCCs, Hillel centers, museums, as well as in her Decatur, GA, studio.
