Profile Description

Artist Statement

Using Swedish Weaving I’ve been creating and teaching huck tallitot for over 20 years. I started by making them for my four sons and other family members- it has been a great joy to see them worn at synagogue- by students, their children, my friends and family. The huck fabric has variations and I’ve been enjoying the 7 count fabric as my eyes get older. Every tallit is different- there is no set pattern. I add musical lines of meaningful songs, special fabric like baby blankets or fabric from a loved one, Judaic designs- Torah and Star of David are usually included in every tallit. I can add Hebrew names inside the four corners as well. I love making it personal and I love just making them. I am available for commissions.
