Artist Statement

When I started metalsmithing, it was as if I took the tools out of my back pocket. It felt right. I was using my grandparents’ story of survival during the Holocaust for a paper in a university class on the Holocaust and Genocide when my grandfather started giving me his tools. With the help of a wonderful teacher, my first mezuzahs came into being. In making and sharing those pieces with the class, I felt the importance of Oneness– we all breathe, we all bleed, we all experience pleasure and pain. This art is about understanding that we can all use the vibration of the Torah to raise our resonance, and to come into peace and harmony with ourselves and the world.

Range of Work

Oneness Installation Art, Sanctuary Art, Copper Sculpture, Mezuzahs, Bat-Mitzvah Jewelry, Judaic Jewelry, Judaica, Tzedakah Boxes, Ceremonial Art, Menorahs, Torah Adornment.
